Great first release from the duo of Berber Visser en Keimpe Koldijk (also Luik and Eklin). Their music is made up of muffled beats, keyboards set on “electric piano” and “harmonium” presets, and almost Morricone style guitars. The whole sound is drenched in reverb and delay. The real power of this duo however is the deep voice of Berber. Coming of like Nico who can actually sing, she combines a gothic atmosphere with the phrasing and power of a pre-war jazz/blues singer. Especially “Walk” and “Dirt” have a nightmarish, feverish quality. That feeling of being insanely hot but also getting ice-cold chills down your spine. Limited tape edition of their first CD-R.
